Resistant to Doxycline?

Hey, Seyshell, again, I'm so sorry that you are back in the fight. You're not alone, I am too.

This time I started Buhner's as it's helped so many others, but I have decided to switch back to the Chronic Tonic as that's what worked for me last time. Buhner's herbs has a lot of appeal to me as it helps a lot of people, but even though the two are very similar, I feel I would be making more progress on the chronic tonic.

There is also Cowden's and it's helped a lot of people as well.

Was doxy the only drug you were on when you were treating initially? I highly doubt the bacteria is resistant to it.

You can't tell from the test results if it's a new infection or the original infection.
And testing at different times can bring up different bands...depending on your immune function.

If you have symptoms - you need to treat...


You said 6 years ago doxy didn't work - what did work to get you in remission? Why not do that protocol again?

I'm glad you are feeling better - just remember, some after feeling better when they first start the abx, often have symptoms return once they get further into treatments because of herxing. So do detox and keep it up so that the herxing doesn't hit you too hard.

Band 58 is thought to be for Borrelia afzelii - a European strain of Lyme. But, as Girlie said, not all the bands you will react to will show up every time, nor will the test be able to tell you how you are healing. As the immune system is working, it will need to keep killing off the bacteria - and producing antibodies - in order to keep a person in remission.
