Remember that a swollen, red reaction to a tick bite is NOT necessarily Lyme. Many insect bites will produce this reaction. Look for the "bulls eye" EM rash. Which doesn't always occur, either. Beware of any other symptoms that indicate possible Lyme as well as the co-infections that typically associate with the bite of an infected tick. While the topical and oral herbal treatments -Astragalus, etc - are an excellent first response regardless of infection or not, heavy antibiotics without real need result in distressing damage to the microbiome that can last for months, even years, probiotics included.
Caught early - abx are effective. I would not chance it - attached tick plus a reaction - I would treat swiftly.
I wouldn't wait for symptoms to disseminate.
