Still confused with Low GFR and High Creatinine History

I've searched this subject so many times and still am thrown by it. What is the significance of a pattern with GFR and creatinine with Lyme Disease?

My numbers are confusing and wondering what it means. LLMD is not worried and other doctors say "keep an eye on it." No one seems worried.

September, 2013 creatinine -1.25 and GFR - 55.

September, 2016 - creatinine -1.43 GFR down to 51.

March of 2016, - creatinine - 1.36 GFR 56

August, 2016 - creatinine 1.38 GFR - 55

April, 2017 - creatinine - 1.48 GFR - 51

July, 2017 - creatinine -1.47 GFR - 51

Does this happen with Lyme Disease, co-infections? Does anyone else have patterns like this?

Concerned about kidney health, of course. Don't know if this can cause permanent damage, or if changing numbers are just indicate of medicine, diet, stress, etc...

I have been told this is common with Lyme Disease.

I have learned that a test is just a test. It is not infallible. I had a test once and it said "unidentified mass with mastectomies in the small and large intestines."

I was preped for major surgery. Good result or bad result would be how long I had. This was 1985.

2 Surgeons were in the room and they could not believe that there was nothing there but a benign mass.

Now..... was it prayer from my entire family and church? Or was the test wrong?

To this day I take my tests with a grain of salt. Meaning = they are not always the truth. Much like my first lyme test with Quest that was negative. All Hogwash. \

Peteza - Masectomies in the intestines?

I thought mastectomies was a term for cutting out breast tissue only.

I'm thinking that's a typo?

That is one heck of a story. Glad they were wrong. The stres must have been tough.

You are right about tests, but I have to learn to get better in that area of worry. There is so much out there about what is what and what is not. Just always looking for answers as I was an investigative newspaper reporter, at one point in my life. In my blood.

The bottom line is always looking for ways to get better and answers seem to help there. I have a pone consult with Dr. Rawls Monday, so I'm hoping that will answer a lot about leaky gut, treatment and Lyme.

Running Wild-I disagree with your LLMD. I don't think it's Lyme that's causing the problem with your numbers. I believe it's your treatment. I've had issues a few times and my LLND has had me take a liver and kidney supplement and pull way back on treating until my numbers are back to normal ranges. This typically only takes a week or two.

Your liver is your bodies filter and to a degree so is your kidneys. They must be working properly for you to treat and detox the toxins from die off.

There are the products from Pekena and so many others. Pekana Homeopathics (apo-HEPAT, RENELIX, ITIRES) are some of the best homeopathic products I have used to support drainage and detoxification. They are for the liver, kidneys, and lymphatic system respectively. They may be a good base for supporting the body's ability to detoxify.

This may explain why the doctor is not being concerned. Did you have a urine sample also?

Never thought about treatment causing some problems with the numbers. I only take Drainage Tone to help. Thought some of the herbs in the Rawls Protocol might help. Maybe not.

Waiting on results of urine test, which was taken Friday. A couple of months ago, the results of urine test on kidneys was fine. It was not a 24 hour collection.
