My sisters therapy has been like hell from hyperbaric to ozone to vitamin c doing everything to make this Lyme go away supplements and lots now she's concern about her tongue in as a burning sensation and very dry what can that be somebody help me she fears it can be lupus or sjorgens

I can't say exactly what it is, but I have a similar sensation. Yesterday, my tongue felt like it was burning. I suspect it's candida. I do have overgrowth. I also get puffy tongue, sometimes a white coating, not always. It's very frustrating. Has she ever been checked out for candida?

My tongue burns all the time. It's one of my main symptoms and one of my most disturbing/annoying ones. My mouth burns too, and my tongue sometimes swells and is painful. My LLMD said it's from lyme co-infections but I don't know. I thought maybe candida, but I don't have a white coating. I read online it could be from hormones or from a virus. I do have chronic EBV so I'm thinking maybe that's causing the burning. I've had lyme since at least 2003 and have never had the burning tongue/mouth until this year. Brushing my teeth makes the burning feeling worse not better. Chewing gum [sweetened with xylitol] sometimes helps. Drinking liquids, even water, does not help.

How sweet of you to be involved with your sister's treatment.

Question: Is that her only treatment? hyperbaric/ozone/vitamin c?

Or is she in treatment and that is her supportive therapy?

Since you are new here, it would be helpful for you to look through the thread: "New to Lyme?..Start Here!" It's packed full of useful information.

Also, what else is she doing for detox? Is she taking a binder? What about drinking lots of water with fresh lemon juice in it?

I’m having a TERRIBLE time with this, also. Make sure to check your Vitamin B-12 level. Mine is low and I start on B-12 injections tomorrow. I pray I get some relief. I’ve had neuorlogical symptoms from Lyme for many years-this is miserable!!
