Hi BlakeAlexander -
Weird that you mention the acne, as my face has erupted for a couple of weeks now, for some strange reason. I'm thinking my case is a biofilm surge + heat + humidity + dairy.
- I ran out of the binder I usually take so had some charcoal handy after not being on it for a couple weeks.
- No more dairy
- I resumed an anti-biofilm herb I'd stopped taking a few months prior
- I also kept things a little cooler around the house
- And I started washing my face a few times a day (which can actually aggravate typical acne but I use a specially-formulated cleanser that has some anti-biofilm/fungal properties and this really helps). The products I use are by Ovante and can be found at
www.skinimprovements.com and my skin has NEVER looked or felt better... I wish I didn't have to buy expensive products but I do - the ingredients are all natural and I just love the stuff (let me know if you're interested in the products I use)
Anyway, I'm making progress.
While I don't think acne is related directly to bart or Lyme, it is more of a sx of the following, which can develop due to the tick-born infections or due to treatment:
Acne is GENERALLY a detox issue so that's one place to start - try increasing your detox with sweating, full-body soaks.
Acne is also a gut bacteria issue, given the gut-brain connection. I would start with focusing on gut health and a clean diet but particularly necessary is adding in/increasing binders. HCL can sometimes help combat bacterial overgrowth in the gut which can cause acne.
And for me, the biofilm clogs pores or stirs up bacteria - I'm really not sure but I think it's part of the issue. Some yeast/fungal overgrowth that can grow on your face (sometimes from a digestive-originating overgrowth) isn't really classic acne but is a fungal rash. So that's something to also consider.
Hope that's helpful -
