Black spots in vision?

I'm having weird, random black spots in my vision. At first I thought it was shadows or other effects caused by lighting. I do have visual disturbances: Very light snow, flashes, floaters, after images. It's all very random. As for the black spots, I can't figure out what's triggering them and they happen so fast I don't see them again for a while. I also don't know which eye they're occurring in.

I'm sure it's all just lyme, but it's obviously concerning. I just had my yearly eye exam and my optometrist said my eyes look healthy. A few months ago I had an issue where my vision went black for about a second and that was it. It freaked me out so I went to the ER and they said it was a pre-fainting spell. I have no idea. I don't feel faint and I didn't feel faint when my vision went black. I have a slight headache today - not unusual. I seem to have headaches 20 out of 30 days of the month.

The vision symptoms are very concerning. I have had grey raindrop like spots come and go and a black bar/curtain come down in my field of vision.

I just wanted to let you know that they have cleared up with continued treatment.

I understand that many of these symptoms can be from Lyme or co infections.

Bartonella is one co infection that is known to cause vision issues, not sure if you have that or not.

Sorry to hear you are dealing with this and the headaches. I hope you get some relief and reduction of these symptoms soon.

I always thought those black dots were bugs on my walls. *poof* and they were gone. My floaters drove me crazy. I would try and focus on them and they would move all around.

My eye problems healed all up with treatment. I also went to the eye doctor a lot to make sure I was not losing vision.

Lyme eye problems are so weird! I would see the shadows and think that there is a cat running in front of me. LOL. But in fact there was nothing there to trip over, it was just me. I had my eyes completely checked over, they didn't see any problem with them even though I was seeing things that they couldn't see. Always better safe than sorry with vision though, get a good Vision check and go from there.

My opthamologist states the white or black shadows is a gel like substance that travels and is nothing to worry about so I am not.

I had floaters and flashers and night blindness in one eye that I noticed at night in bed ( i know i know, you're in bed it's dark......this was the glowing light on little things. I could see with one eye not the other.

Eye doctor sent me to retina specialist and apparently the Bart has scarred the retina on one eye with a warning to head to ER if that eye starts doing a crazy light show indicating retinal detachment.

He does say the floaters should come and go with time.

Chech this out. CCSVI, blockage of flow in and out of brain can cause visual, hearing, neurological issues. Must investigate.

Your eyes are perfectly fine, this is a neurological symptom, nothing to do with the actual eye.
