too many years of this

I actualy though I could get better

I don't know if I have ms

don't want to get spine tap

I tested positive for lyme

after years of having it, and years off and on of some treatments


If I had the funds, I would pick just pay someone , to rent a room
and let me just rest and be
for 2 months

I know exactly what you mean about resting. I was so sick. My house was a mess, laundry wasn't done. Groceries weren't bought. It took all my effort just to brush my teeth.

It isn't an easy thing, this beating the heck out of lyme. But you can do it.

no, I was doing it for 7 years, with off and on caregivers

money ran out, I have nothing, long story,

but I have nothing , I cant even keep eye contact

i am sick enough to be in a nursing home, but no money nothing

wellbeautifulspirit - I'm so sorry. I remember when you were on here posting frequently.

You changed your screen name, didn't you - I remember you mentioning that...even though it was before my time...if I'm remembering correctly.


I don't know how disability works in the U.S. - I'm in Canada and it's different here..

May I ask where you are staying now?
Are there not homeless shelters where you can spend the nights?

Lyme is gonna kick your ass. It's gonna kick you when you're down. The good news is, human beings are resilient. You just have to keep going. Keep trying. And like everything new, it takes practice. Lyme is a mind game too. Just keep telling yourself you're going to make it. You will, because so many other people have. When I'm at my lowest, I tell myself: I can do this! It's not easy, but you have to believe you're gonna make it. If you don't, you won't.

Dear Sara,

I'm so sorry for the torture you've suffered so long and continue to endure. I can't even imagine your mental, emotional, and physical turmoil.

Do you have any family members near you? In your city or state? Friends? I'm wondering if you have anyone that can advocate for you for disability, as Girlie wisely mentioned. It sounds like you don't have the strength or resources to do so on your own.

My heart breaks for your situation and I desperately want to say something helpful, but I know you need more than just words.

I'm so sorry you're suffering like this. I'm glad you posted - please see the "New to Lyme?" thread at the top of the page - there is information in one of the posts that provides links and contact information to resources for people in financial need. I'm not familiar with them but I know we've had members here utilize them.

Please let us know how you're doing and please stay strong and connected.

wellbeautifulspirit, Lyme has a way of beating us down and getting into our heads. I've been fighting this for over a decade (didn't know what it was until last year). Even knowing, I have had some dark times.

please remember that the disease itself impacts our brains, and thoughts. As difficult as it is, we have to recognize those moments as part of the disease and fight it, don't let it wear you down.

you have Lyme friends who understand this here!

betcha havent tried bvt ...many bee keepers here will let you harvest a few for apitherapy for free...keep hope wbs
do you have a tent? how are you getting to the internet ? ms is lyme and bees work for that too...read @ pat wagner , ellie lobel ...some day i hope to have a center and scholarships for folks like you but it wont bee in enough time to help you now
