Decarte, how do you make the protein shake? I definately need calories. I have lost 40 lbs and desperately need to gain weight.

I don't make my own.
At first I was trying all the hippie, healthy protein shakes. Some I got from my LLMD. And then I would count grams of protein in my meals throughout the day.
I was consuming 120+ grams of protein per day, well over most recommended amount (depending upon height and gender of course).
And then one day I looked at the vegan protein shake my LLMD gave me and saw that it only had 120 calories. Then it hit me, it's not about
grams of protein (right now), it's about
bulking up.
So then I spoke to many people into fitness and weight lifting and received more insight. When one is starting out skinny and slender, one must bulk up first. You can't be skinny, left weights/exercise and then grow bigger by just consuming protein.
You need carbs, you need fats. Once you reach a certain physical goal of where you want to be, you no longer have to bulk up and you can simply maintain and drink the "vegan 120 calorie" protein shake and just take in the grams of protein.
So I said screw it to all the healthy lyme stuff and got the highest caloric protein shake on the market. There's some sugar from the flavoring, but no added sugar beyond that, so isn't so bad on that front.
From the many reviews people were saying they were gaining 10-15 lbs anywhere from 2 to 6 week. I was little skeptical about
the 2 weeks part, maybe 6 weeks.
But once again one week in and I can see how some people can gain 15 lbs in 2 weeks, especially if working out and gaining muscle as well.
