Quick summary: 5 years ago I got lyme. Typical bulls eye rash and all. I was treated and then I was fine. 2years later I got lyme again...no rash but had symptoms which included brainfog/ dizziness and joint stuff. I got treated and then I was fine.
In May I started getting dizzy again with a stiff neck and fatigue. We had a very very bad spring with ticks. I found three ticks on me. One had been attached for days. It didn't dawn on me that I may have Lyme until a week went by. I told my doc and he prescribes antibiotics like before -- amoxicillin ( I'm allergic to doxy). After about
a week I improved but not 100%.
I started taking a Lyme tea with cats claw. Within a couple days I felt great. Once my antibiotics ran out though my symptoms started coming back.
Fast forward two months later and I'm in the hospital. The dizziness was so bad that can not drive at times. They do not believe it's lyme despite my history. My question to them was out its not lyme (or some other tick born illnness) why did the antibiotics make me feel better????
I've had two IVs of ceftriaxone. Aside from a slight headache I feel much better than I did but still a little dizzy.
So that's the story. Not sure what wise I should do or say (or not say) so that I can get out of this place and go see a LLMD. I have an appointment with one on Aug 22.
