I got Lyme originally around 6/2015. It reappeared on 6/30/2017. I was on Dox again for three weeks and finished up on 8/21/17. Now my throat is very sore and I think it is related to the Lyme disease or the medication. Should I go back to the doctor or will this cure itself in time? Thoughts?

When I first got lyme, I had a sore throat. I had not had a lyme test or even thought about that. My regular internal medicine doc said he thought I had a sinus infection. Nope, it was all lyme. Then (later) I was diagnosed with lyme and treatment, and the sore throat went away.

You should have it checked out. It could be thrush or strep and those should probably be treated by a doctor.

Since you were only on treatment for three weeks - I suspect it's part of your lyme symptom package.

Three weeks isn't long enough to treat a relapse.
So whether or not the sore throat is a lingering lyme symptom...or not - you have undertreated.

Do you have a LLMD you can discuss this with?
