Thinking about getting my teeth fixed?

I had braces for six years as a kid. Now, my teeth are moving back and they look terrible. I also have one missing tooth (in the back) thanks to a dentist cracking my tooth on accident. Before Lyme, I was planning on getting braces to fix my crooked teeth, which I think are contributing to my headaches, jaw pain, and neck pain. I kind of don't want to wait until I'm done with Lyme. I have no idea how long that will be.

I'm just wondering if there's any reason I shouldn't pursue braces now. I'm a year into treatment and it's slow going since everything makes me herx. No ABX. I also kind of think getting my teeth fix would help my self-esteem. Or maybe Invisiline? I don't know. I also need to talk to a dentist about getting a new tooth to replace the one that got stolen from me. It would require braces since my other teeth are filling in the gap.

Maybe you could get a biological dentist to test you for compatibility with the material the braces are made of and find out how much trauma the braces will cause. Trauma will weaken your immune system and could trigger or reactive infections.

I don't know much about braces these days. I had the metal bands that go all the way around on all of my teeth. Took 5 hours to put them on and me biting down on a metal bar to push the bands in between my crunched-together teeth - major trauma and pain.

No, I just haven't felt well enough to visit the dentist even for a consultation. I'm afraid the trauma could make me worse. Meanwhile, my teeth are still moving and all that work I did as a kid is being undone. So sad.

Are you doing any oil pulling with coconut oil? I would think that it would be good to do that to help prepare your mouth biome for getting any work done.

Just a thought.

Not for a while. I've gotten a little lazy about it. For a while, my jaw was hurting so bad and I stopped. I should try again.
