Samento VS normal Cat's Claw

Hi All, My question is; does anyone find a normal Cat's claw brand more calming then Samento? And if so, can you please share the brand etc.

I find that Samento give's me more energy, but also makes it harder to calm down and get some sleep etc.

Samento is made from cats claw - they took out what is known as T.O.A.'s

Buhner is of the belief that the T.O.A.'s are necessary in order to heal Lyme, but of course, we have seen some use Samento and heal too. This may be due to the differences in strains of bacteria that a person has - or it may have more to do with the person's specific chemical makeup that make it possible to use Samento and still heal.

Interesting that you note a difference in the way you feel between the two, DaveJB.

I think that we all can feel different on many different herbs. Just the way we all can feel different on antibiotics.

What is good for you, may be bad for me and vice versa.

I have done cat's claw in pill form from Now and in tincture from Hawaii Pharm (Uncaria Tomentosa). There is another one that some people call cat's claw (called Gou Teng, which is Uncaria Sinensis or Uncaria rhynchophylla depending on who is making it).

This is where I had to learn the scientific name to make sure I was getting the right ingredient on the label.
