EBV is the most common cause of Mono, but not the only cause. But, EBV will cause mono. People will likely experience more profound fatigue/lethargy than they would from Lyme alone.

Lyme lowers the immune system, which allows the opportunistic viruses many opportunity to reactivate. This is why many Lyme patients have reactivated EBV or other viruses.

Since you know you have high titers, you can try using Lysine to lower the viral load and to keep them lowered. That's what I use and it's been working pretty well for the last 7 years for me, once I found the dose I needed.

of course you can have EBV and have no problem. 90% of the world population has it.

What these doctors in denmark do not know (because the research is 1-2 years old, that is way too recent for any MD that is not very curious) is that:

- lyme is highly immune suppressive

this means if u don't catch it early, they don't know what to give u to kill the persisters because nobody know about their existence 2 years ago.

show your doc those two papers, they are highly cited, by known researchers . these two facts are the cause of all the pain and confusion with the lyme disease
