Yes, interesting that most of my joint pain is on my left side. My migrans rash was on my left shoulder after a tick bite. I'm convinced my neck, left scapula and left shoulder pain are due to being bit on that shoulder.

My chiropractor asked me if that was where I was bitten by the tick that gave me Lyme. (I have no idea -- I've had many tick bites.) She said she's seen numerous people who have recurring problems at the site of their bite.

Suffering terribly from shoulder pain at the moment. I get it under my right shoulder blade but it radiates throughout the area and causes slight discomfort under my armpits. I would love to know what causes the pain. In addition to the acute pain I also get a tingling in the area. The only thing I take is Ibuprofen but I don't know if it helps.

Very interesting thread indeed! When I first started charting symptoms shoulder blade pain / tingling/ burning / numbness was on the list. It has gotten a lot better since treatment began, but does seem to come back when twitching and other symptoms flare.

I was never sure if it was something work related or something infection related. I am now heavily leaning toward it being infection related.

my problem shoulder blade is my right shoulder blade.

Tingling would be nerve issues:
1)indirectly from tight muscles not relaxing causing nerve entrapment.
or:
2)directly from whatever lyme does to nerves themselves.

I still have this.. in fact I was complaining about it to my LLMD yesterday. Right shoulder blade..so weird.

She thinks it sounds like babesia (not sure why).

Whatever it is, I agree it seems to be infection related.

I try to massage it but then it ends up giving me a nasty headache.
