Please look at the photos of this bite and tell me if you think tick bite

Here are a few photos of the bite I had. It was super itchy and a bit raised. I first discovered it was there because I was scratching it so much so I looked down and noticed a bruise around it.

I circled the the circumference of the bite as soon as I noticed it. It lasted a full week after I found it and it never spread or grew in size.

A couple of things to note:
1. I have been HYPER vigilant about keeping all of my skin covered, wearing clothing with permethrin, pyrethrin bug spray, not walking near any grass, and keeping our dogs walked on the sidewalk only and they have tick spray in their fur. Plus we have been getting our yard sprayed for ticks all summer.

2. I am on blood thinners and I was scratching the bite very hard. My internist thinks I could have scratched it so hard that it bruised.

3. The rash never grew or spread.

4. I started using a rife machine around the same time that I found the rash. I have been feeling awful. Can't tell if it is herxing from the rife machine or from a new infection.

5. My internist gave me doxycycline out of an abundance of caution and because I am an absolute wreck with anxiety because I have clawed my way out of hell for the past full year since being bit for my first time in August 2016 and being sick as hell. I was doing AMAZING before the bite/rife machine.

The color is probably a little off in the photo. It was a definite bruise around the bite-- not red at all.

Its hard to know what is what because I started using a Doug Coil rife machine on August 21. This is the mac daddy of rife machines and apparently is very powerful. So the week I started the rife machine I started having pain in my shin and feet again (haven't had that in a long time). I was doing Bartonella frequencies on the rife machine. Over a short period of time, I ramped up my time on the rife machine and started having a lot of my old symptoms from a year ago: butt muscle pain, sensitivity to light, loss of appetite. I assumed it was from the rife machine. And then I found the bite. It was super itchy and thats how I noticed it.

I sent the photos to Dr. H and he didn't think lyme rash. But the truth is.... by the time someone gets an appt to see Dr. H, many months have passed since they first got sick and they no longer have a rash. So he might not be so current regarding what the various lyme rashes can look like. But who knows!?!

Good thought.... but no shot in that vicinity. I give myself the shots in my stomach. The bruise/rash was on my leg. I have noticed that I have been bruising more easily as of late. I think I have noticed it since I've added serrapeptase.

Honestly... I would be lost without you guys. Thank you so much for the feedback and for sending the link with the photos. I don't think my bite looks anything like those photos.

I feel like so many people have different types of bites, it's hard to tell. Everyone's body seems to be different. Mine, for example, was just a bug bite on steroids. Red swollen foot like a balloon, no bullseye.

Can you get retested? It may also be your body just isn't handling bug bites like it used to and could be something bit the crap out of you and bruised your skin. That happens.

I think retesting is just an added expense. I think it is the blood thinner at work. My Mom and stepdad have both been on blood thinners and they bruise super easy. Even a mosquito bite would bruise on them!!!

So, based on seeing a mosquito bite on my Mom look like a bruised bite, I think that is what happened to you.

It still looks like a EM rash to me.

Just my guess.

I would lower the rife treatment, detox like crazy and take the doxy.

So very sorry you got bit again. Frustrating, I know.

That's what I was thinking too. Plus The testing is often so unreliable

As mentioned people react differently so who knows what could have caused it from the look of it. I get bitten by black flies I get an itchy red dot about 2mm in diameter and my wife & daughter get a raised pink lump about the size of a silver dollar or even bigger. The question would be does this look like other bites from known culprits? No doubt you've been bitten my mosquitos, black flies and other things. How different is this?

I've been bitten by many ticks, most I'm sure I've removed within 24 hours. The only reaction I ever saw a dark red spot around the bite about the size of a nickel that would last about a week as well. I've had a bunch of those over the years. They never turned to a bulls eye rash so I always assumed I was good to go. That was when I thought my PCP knew all lol.
