In 2006, after my dad died and before I got Lyme, I had a nasty case of eczema. I was COVERED in it. Face, neck, back, torso, breasts, hands, arms. It was horrible, weepy, massively uncomfortable. All in all, it lasted right up until my wedding day Nov. 2009. Mostly, I changed my diet. This is when I gave up gluten. I've had tiny patches here and there, but never as bad as it was.

I now have a stubborn patch between the webbing of my right fingers (middle and ring). I understand there is a liver connection. I've also had a persistent case of bad acne on my shoulders for about two months. I think I do pretty well with detoxing - (charcoal, epsom baths, sauna, lemon water, water) and I'm drinking dandelion tea, but there still seems to be a missing link. I'm trying to up the sauna, but I just haven't felt well enough to go every week.

Is there something else I'm missing? Is my liver not detoxing well enough? I did get tested for the MTHFR gene and it's not an issue.

I'm stumped. I feel like I'm missing something. Any tips would be helpful. Thanks!

How much water are you drinking?

My daughter and the grands have eczema. Moderate cases. I always wondered where they got that from and then one day I showed up with a dime sized patch on my side. Guess I was the carrier, if it is inherited.

I generally would get a patch with stress. Stress really would make the kids break out too. A test in school was usually the culprit when they were young.

PeetZa, I'm having a hard time getting enough water every day. I guess it's about a liter per day, not including all the water I drink with pills. I don't think it's enough.

I wish that Dr. Axe article had been around in 2006. There was NO info online at the time. I suffered for three years with a horrific case back then. I had one idiot doctor tell me I had scabies and she later called me on the phone, crying, asking me why I wouldn't let her help me. gah! LOL. Thanks for posting the article, I'll try some of the tips for sure!

I love water - just plain old water. I had no troubles with that but lyme messed with my bladder and I had to go to the bathroom every 30 minutes or so. I unconsciously started drinking less water so I would not go as much. Bad idea!! The best healing for an irritated bladder is more water.

Hubby likes water, but prefers a flavoring. He does a lot of lemon water and ACV water. He loves those better than water.

I love peppermint/spearmint. I get a large glass of water (filtered tap water) and put a tea bag in it while cooking dinner. By the time I am done cooking I have tea. I can add ice to it then and it is so refreshing. Peppermint is also a good tummy soother and digestive aid.
