Help please.....cipro

Ive been off abx for a while, and as I posted before I am feeling better overall except for abdominal issues. I can deal with them. But last 2 weeks ive had some soreness behind my testicles (TMI I know sorry) so I went to my doc today. Diagnosis, prostatitis. He prescribed 10 days of cipro, and to let him know in 10 days how im feeling. If im not feeling any different and not having ejaculations he will prescribe 30 days of cipro.

Question is, how is cipro going to effect me? Im sure Lyme and Bart are still here, just not wreaking havoc. Is cipro going to cause me issues?

My concern isn't so much about Bart or Lyme but about the Black box warning - risk of a) Tendon rupture and b) peripheral neuropathy (that could be permanent).


If you do have active bart and/or lyme - you want to treat it anyway.

Are you no longer treating...and in remission?

Girlie, I know this isnt right, but I just got tired of taking pills. The extreme majority of my joint pain is gone. Still get brain fog, occasional nerve pains. Nothing I cant handle. Digestive issues still a problem. But I had enough.

I still have a cabinet full of mino, bactrim, tindamax, zythro.....probably a bunch I cant remember. Oh ya bactrim too.

Really confused if to take the cipro or not. I picked up the 'script. From what I read, cipro might have trouble getting to the prostate anyhow, so really on the fence here.
