The reason I ask is because I have been looking into the hyperthermia treatment that have come up recently. I was curious to see how the saunas that everyone is using compare to this and it seems that nobody has ever really looked into how their body temperature changes in a sauna.
I did a little experimenting lately with a hot bath. After researching hyperthermia treatment I found that the temperature that they use is 105.8 deg F. So I got a thermometer and ran a hot bath that I could tolerate, albeit not comfortably, and my temp was 102degF (by mouth). I wasn't well that day so after this I had to get out of the bath and lay down. The rest of the night was spent resting.
Now I am pretty certain that on a good day I could have stayed at that temperature for 15 minutes of I had to.
I also found this excerpt from a study done some time ago
"Our data demonstrate that growth of the strains PKo and ATCC 35210 (B31) was impaired at temperatures of 37 degrees C and inhibited at 39 degrees C and 40 degrees C, respectively. Strain ATCC 35211, however, grew well up to 39 degrees C but did not multiply at 40 degrees C. A bactericidal effect was seen at 41 degrees C for the strains B31 and PKo and at 42 degrees C for all strains. The susceptibility of all strains to penicillin and ceftriaxone was increased up to 16-fold by an elevation of temperature from 36 degrees C to 38 degrees C. These in vitro data suggest that elevated body temperature may be beneficial during antimicrobial treatment of Lyme disease. This may be particularly important in tissues where high concentrations of antibiotics are difficult to achieve."

This is for syphilis spirochete. Also I found that releasing fever ends up curing itself after a number of fevers around 103degF.
I think what the difference is with Lyme is that it does not allow our bodies to have a fever... which is every spirochetes weakness...EVERY SINGLE ONE. Add antibiotics and theres no chance for them.
I bought today a temperature reader that will display my temperature on a screen real time as I am soaking. I am going to see what temp I can do comfortably and before the bath I am going to take mono, amox, cleft, and tindi... all in appropriate doses to be used together.
