Hey guys
I’ve been so busy teaching, coaching, and being a mom that I haven’t been able to come in here in a bit. I went to my llmd and he switched up my protocol. He took away the omnicef and added doxy(the pill not the capsule)
So I’m on doxy, bactrim, plaquenil, and interfase plus(biofilm). How’s this lookin??

He also thinks I’m having mold issues from my job. I work in a school in a girls locker room that’s underground and it has mold. Ugh.
So November 4 I go see my llmd and he’s gonna do this new urine mold test on me that just came out. Can’t wait to see those results ugh. Never ends

I am not good with antibiotics, so I can't respond to that but the mold issue just made me cringe.

I hope you can find a way to not work in the locker room if it has mold.

My coworkers and I are trying to develop a plan. It’s no coincidence that 1 has had 19 sinus infections in a year and next month has to have sinus surgery, the other coworker already had sinus surgery last year, the other coworker is always congested, and then there’s me who is a toxic mess.

I think that sounds pretty good as long as you're on optimal doses or working up to optimal doses.

But you should also be on a comprehensive detox protocol - what are you doing to support detox?

For mold, most people are relying on a GI binder - are you on any binder? My favorite is PURE cholestyramine, which is expensive and requires an Rx. Others have suggested that modified fruit pectin can also be effective for mold but I've not tried it - it's cheaper and OTC. You should talk with your LLMD about starting a binder after your test.

And last, have you adjusted your diet to be sugar-free? What antifungals are you taking that can help keep the GI from developing yeast/fungal overgrowth? That will be critical with all of the antibiotics you're on. As long as you don't already have significant overgrowth sx you should try incorporating some natural antifungals (lots of info on the forum about natural antifungals), along with a ban on sugar. At the right doses the GI binder will also help keep the y/f from overgrowing--might take awhile to work up to optimal amounts of the binder at first.

The sinus issues are very likely mold but could also be fungal and keeping the GI healthy will be very important in order to help heal the sinuses--or at least not make the sinusitis worse. The anti-biofilm will also be quite important.
