Hey!

Thanks in advance for reading smile

My eyes have been in terrible pain for months (burning, floaters, right eye sees a bit lighter than the left, extreme redness and puffiness in the morning, and occasional blurriness)...

Doctor said it was allergies hahaha.

What could this be?

Optic Neuritis? Uveitis? Candida?

PLEASE HELP! I feel like I'm going to go blind...

My eyes got bad with lyme. Super red eyes, floaters and I would see what I thought were bugs out of the corner of my eyes.

I went to the eye doctor and had a very thorough exam and nothing super bad with my eyes. All my symptoms were caused by lyme.

I think it might help you feel better if you got an eye exam. I felt better knowing I wasn't going blind.

I had pain, redness and blurriness for 4 months and went to an ophthalmologist. Not a burning pain but a dull ache/throbbing pain. Diagnosed with uveitis but the optic nerves were ok. The eye pressure was a little bit above the normal range.

I have been treated for two months with steroid drops and finished the taper off. I still have pain but the inflammation is gone. I am worried that since this is either lyme or bart that the uveitis will just return until the infections are under control.

I don't like to mess with my eyes. I would have your eyes and the pressures checked. It will relieve the stress and worry.

Those are all sx I experienced (plus a few more) that resolved (except one) once I got my yeast/fungal overgrowth under control.

We've also had people who have had success just getting more Lyme & Co treatment under their belt, like PeteZa mentions.

I think it's a good idea to read up on y/f overgrowth to determine if this is something you should look into. Many y/f symptoms overlap with Lyme & Co sx making it very difficult to navigate treatment effectively and overgrowth can also interfere with treatment. And in most cases, y/f overgrowth is a little more straightforward to resolve.

I also agree that it's best to get everything checked out by an ophthalmologist (rather than an optician) but they aren't going to be able to be helpful if the issues are Lyme & co or yeast/fungal. But they will give you a good baseline and be able to rule out other issues.
