DNA Connections Test while on antibiotics. Results accurate?

while PCR is the more accurate way to test all testing is subjected to inaccuracies due to whether the pathogens you're looking for in question are actually in the draw. think of a big bowl of red jello with bits of green jello in there which are the pathogens. if you take a spoonful out you may get bits of green or not.

so just because you are negative for stuff you've had in the past doesn't mean its gone. these tests are more useful if you have a positive because with the PCR approach there's no false positives as they can see the parts of the bug in urine or blood.

so from this test you know you still have lyme floating around. is that lyme affecting you? maybe, maybe not

in regards to whether antibiotics affect the test yes they do. you are supposed to stop abx at least a few days before drawing your urine so you have a chance to have more of them in there. they also tell you to do moderate exercise as that draws them out of the deep crevices so you can test for them.

so in summary this test doesn't really tell you all that much ;o) at least that's my view that's why to me its all about your symptoms and what severity they are.
