Drunk feeling 2 hours after taking medication?

Good morning,

Currently my daughter is taking 50mg * 2x a day Minocycline and 100mg * 2x a day Amoxocillin for the past 3.5 weeks.


Every day ,about 2 hours after taking her medication, she appears like she is almost high. She speaks in baby talk and her vision is affected. She is pretty much back to normal 30 minutes to 1 hour later.


Does anyone else experience this? Any tips on how to minimize these side effects? Or is this just part of the process?

I don't know if it's abx per se but I know lyme in general can make one feel drunk/head foggy/hungover. It does for me.

But as an adult I know how to mentally power through, where as a small child I can see just being glossed over and "high".
