"I tried to get a copy but they didnt want to give it to me."
---for those of you reading... PLEASE DON'T EVER LET AN MD'S OFFICE GET AWAY WITH THIS. YOU SHOULD ALWAYS ASK FOR AND RECEIVE COPIES OF EVERY SINGLE TEST AND LAB WORK THEY ORDER AND RECEIVE AND ALL YOUR RECORDS, INCLUDING MD'S NOTES.
Particularly if you're navigating the Lyme world.
Please consult your state laws. Politely and patiently reiterate them if you need to. Write a formal letter of request.
OK - sorry - back to your results. I'm glad you got a copy of them!
41 is a spirochete - but could also be from dental infection
41 and 58 are "statistically associated w/ tick-borne disease"
58 can cross-react with babesia
31 is "Lyme-specific" (so specific that they used it to create one of the vaccines!) but some suggest it can also cross-react w/ viruses
The best way to diagnose Lyme is to evaluate your symptoms. If you have Lyme-like sx, and bands that indicate the Borrelia burgdorferi microbi is in your body, then you likely have Lyme.
Now, this is really important to understand:
The reason your tests indicate "Negative" is NOT because they prove you do not have Lyme. This is a gigantic misinterpretation that most MDs are guilty of. Even the CDC states on their website that Lyme is a clinical diagnosis and that the tests should not be used for diagnosis. I posted a long explanation of what the "Negative" notation in your results are really determining - in this post I also share the link for the CDC's statement I reference:
