Asymmetrical Tongue

Anyone else notice they have this?

This just one of my newest concerning manifestations with this disease.

Hoagie - you're not talking about the surface of your tongue - rather the muscle function, right?

I remember sticking mine out to check it out several months ago and it was quivering on one side but not the other.

It doesn't seem to be doing that know though.

You decided on hyperthermia - instead of IV abx, right?

When do you go?

I do not have one side lower but mine jerks all over when I try to stick it out. No clue if that is normal or not!

I don't think that's normal - well it isn't for me.

I pray that hyperthermia is the answer. I think you are doing the right thing by not waiting around for it to possibly get worse. I'm guessing they will be doing other things there like IV vitamins/minerals, etc?

As soon as funds are available, I'm heading to Mexico. I reserved a tentative date of December 4th. But I'm trying to get there sooner. Sanoviv's coordinator said it would be ok to come eary.

I have been bothered since Friday. I received a copy of the write up they did at Dr J's clinic in the mail. It was long. At the end of the report, there was the overall impression of me. Towards the end it stated that I have motor neuron involvement, but that it doesn't mean I definitely have ALS. That I am in a good spot to be treated.

The wording is very startling. It sounds as if ALS is probable but not definite the way it's worded. And this is coming from a highly respected lyme clinic.

Well that is good news, Hoagie right? You were under the impression that it was definitely ALS?

So, is this making your decision more difficult? As - maybe thinking of the IV treatment with Dr. J.?

Well, I never thought it was definitely ALS. I figured since I have Lyme and all this started a year after a tick bite that ALS would be out of the picture totally. But seeing as it might be a possibility from a Lyme doctor is alarming. I'm just hoping for the best, of course. The more I read about the hyperthermia treatment along with the entire protocol in Mexico, the more I feel that it's the right option.

Okay - so it was NOT good seeing that Dr. J. mentioned the ALS.

I think ALS is just a name of symptoms anyway...what IS the cause...there has to be a cause...and in your case it's Lyme that is causing those symptoms.

I'm hoping that the hyperthermia will blast those buggers...and you have success, Hoagie.
