Anyone not overcome babesia herx?

For borrelia, it seems that some people herx indefinitely without seeing improvement. However, from anecdotes I have found here and other forums, it seems that most people who find a babesia medicine that they react to, and thus herx, eventually feel better if they stick with the medication.

Any stories here to confirm or deny this?

I did Mepron for babesia for 7 months....and can't say that I really feel better.

My tinnitus is somewhat better...maybe less sweating now... but nothing dramatic.

It's individual.

I'm hoping that when I return to Bartonella treatment, I will see more improvement.

your observation is patently false because everybody responds differently to toxins released when you kill off pathogens. for me i seem to be very sensitive to the killing of any pathogen (i have lyme, babesia and believe to have bartonella) and it always affects me the same (nerve flare up).

if one thinks they're herxing indefinitely they need to back off the meds because such a cycle is bad for you. this is one reason why pulsing meds has come about.

I definitely reacted to Babesia (WA-1) treatment back in 2014 - Mepron and minocycline for a few months. My symptoms of night sweats, anxiety and occasional breathing issues went away.

Returning to treatment (started 2 weeks ago), it will be interesting to see if Babesia symptoms return, I am hoping the bugger is gone and the 2014 abx did the trick. It was the residual and increasing brain fog and twitching that brought me back (more lymie)

I herx on Mepron then feel better. My symptoms have diminished greatly. Haven’t kicked it yet, but there has been improvement.

I agree wth Rikky that everyone is different and has a different cocktail of infections, and thus treatment complications.

Peppermint Babesia Duncani is very difficult to eradicate I would be surprised if you were able to beat it in only a few months.

I've found Babesia to produce either no symptoms or seemingly unrelated symptoms more than the other pathogens (e.g. lyme and joints). Sure it has some common ones like night sweats but it can produce others that seem to be caused by something else. I've seen this with myself and my wife.

We just started treatment with the JC clinic two weeks ago. I start up Mepron, again, in a few weeks. I will report back on if Babesia Duncani decides to strike again. I would love to think I beat the bugger but I keep reading Babesia is a houseguest that doesn't like to leave.
