DAY 31-35

Great news everyone! I finally found a LLND in my area and have scheduled my appointment for this coming Monday. If you remember from an earlier post, I have $2600 in my FSA to use for medical treatments and this visit (pretty expensive) was covered under that. I am looking forward to having a professional monitor my progress and get more lab work done to get to the bottom of this all. I'm going to hold off on getting more herbs until I hear what she has to say. But since I have a doctor, I will be able to get all of the herbs under my FSA and won't have to pay out of pocket for treatment. The initial visit is the most expensive and the follow up visits are very affordable and I shouldn't need to see her very often. The good news is I'm no longer dealing with paralyzed abs. But I still am very bloated all day long. Here is my current dosage schedule:

1. Japanese Knotweed - 1/2 tsp 3x per day
2. Salvia miltiorrhiza - 1/2 tsp 3x per day
3. Scutellaria baicalensis - 1/2 tsp 3x per day
4. Great lakes gelatin powder - 1 tbs 1x per day
5. Vitamin C - aiming for 1-3 grams per day
6. Selenium - 200 mcg/day
7. Uncaria tomentosa - 1/4 tsp 3x per day
8. Cordyceps mycelium - 3/4 tsp 3x per day
9. Withania somnifera - 1/2 tsp in the morning, 1 tsp at night
10. Eleuthero - 15 drops 3x per day
11. Ginkgo - 15 drops 3x per day
12. Inositol Powder - 1/4 tsp two times per day
13. Acetyl L-Carnitine - 500 mg 3x per day
14. Glutamine - 1g per day

DAY 36-41 - YESTERDAY I HAD MY 1ST APPOINTMENT WITH MY LLND

If you all are following along with my journal, you know that I've been self-treating with the Buhner Protocol for over a month now. I finally found a LLND who works along side a MD to get prescriptions (if needed). Well, this is what I was given at my appointment yesterday. She suspects based on my symptoms that I have Bartonella and Babesia as well as Lyme. I'm getting a lot of tests run later this week (covered by insurance). I was given 2 prescriptions as well as some herbal/homeopathic things to take.

Prescription:
1. Nystatin - 500,000 IU - 2 tablets per day
2. Azithromycin - 500mg - 1 tablet per day

Other Stuff:
1. Pekana Basic Detoxification and Drainage Kit - 15 drops of each 2x per day http://www.modernherbalist.com/pekana.html[url]
2. Grapfruit Seed Extract - 2 capsules 2x per day
3. A-L Complex Byron White Formula - 1 drop per day. Every 5 days you add another drop. 2 weeks from now, I will be adding in A-BAB (same protocol) and 2 weeks from then, I will be adding in A-BART (same protocol)
4. 7-Keto - 1 capsule 3x per day

If anybody has any experience with any of these things, please comment below!

I am still taking all of the Buhner herbs as well. Now that I'm actively focusing on killing the bacteria, I expect that the foreseeable future will be pretty rough. I will keep everyone posted.

DAY 42-43

It has been 4 days since I started taking the prescription meds and today I feel like absolute crap. I slept for 11 hours last night. I just feel more tired and out of it. No pain or anything. Just extremely tired and cannot focus at all. Nothing I do or take alleviates my tiredness. I hope this doesn't last too long. On top of that, I feel like I am starting to get a cold (or herx?). My nose is running, I'm getting stuffy, and I'm starting to get congested. It seems to help when I take cold/allergy medicine. I didn't feel this crappy when I was just taking herbs...

EDIT: Yes, I am detoxing. I use activated charcoal, my rebounder, detox baths, and the detox/drainage kit given to me by my LLND.
