Just wanted to take a minute and say that this has worked really well for me in case it ends up being helpful to someone else.
I've been treating lyme for about 7 months now. I'm on doxy and tinidazole, and lots of herbs/supplements. When I initially started treatment, I hadn't been to the gym in a very long time. A couple weeks into my treatment I was able to start lifting weights again.
I did great for about 2.5-3 months, and then I totally crashed again. I was pretty wiped out for the next 2.5-3 months after having felt pretty decent for a long period of time. When I went back to see what could have caused it, I checked my change in supplements, herbs, alternative(ozone, ewot, etc), and antibiotics.
There were several things that I had stopped since I was feeling better so we tried starting stuff like ozone back up again. Wasn't feeling any better. When I double checked my workout journal with changes, I realized tinidazole matched up really closely with both feeling better initially(when lifting started again), and the crash(when I spent a lot of the day on the couch and couldn't lift anymore) - I had just gotten off of it a week or two before when I crashed.
I restarted it recently and almost right away started feeling decent again.
I can't be 100% sure this is what caused the upswings and that taking it away caused the crash, but I know it's the only variable that I've been able to tie to them at this point(most other things I was on I was still taking during the crash, and the ones I wasn't I had tested to see if I improved by re-starting, and I didn't except for tinidazole)
Obviously with so many variables in lyme it's too small of a sample size to know, but it's been such a significant change for me thought I'd share in case it ended up helping someone else with your journey.
