Can you be more specific than the "upper legs"? All over , front back and sides of thighs? Or hamstrings (back), quads (front), hip flexors (front hip/quad junction).
Your lacking circulation there. Do you sit at a desk a lot? Or the opposite, walk, run, or bike a lot, now or in the past?
These might be the muscles you just used a lot more in the past and as a result are just a little tighter than other muscles, but now its noticeable from lyme toxification.
The best detox for muscles is getting the blood moving in them and loosening the tissue. The new blood delivers nutrients. Out with the old blood, in with the new.
Have a bread dough roller? Use it on your front thighs, aggressively. For the hamstrings (back of legs) sit, slowly/ roll on a lacross ball ($3 any sports store) at the top of a stairwell with legs dangling down. Tennis balls are too soft. Unlike basic stretching, this is an actual form of physical detoxing.
Then apply epsom salt gel.
