Can Curicumin cause a herx?

I started taking curicumin pills about three weeks ago and this week noticed an increase in my heart and breathing symptoms as well as back pain. I thought curicumin was suppose to help with inflammation but could it be causing a herx. I've heard it has antimicrobial properties. Has anyone else got worst before they felt better with this herb?

Curcumin/Turmeric has been a wonder supplement for me as it has helped dramatically with my inflammation. I had horrible inflammation in my back to the point I felt like a 90 year old and I am only 43. I went to an orthopedic doc and they put me on a prescription that made me super sick to my stomach and didn't help much at all. He then suggested I try turmeric with black pepper extract and it has worked wonders. I had to start with 3 a day but now maintain with only 2 a day. I take the Gaia brand extra strength turmeric that has black pepper extract (for better absorption). It did not cause an increase in any of my symptoms. Took about a week for the full effect.

If your symptoms are increasing try to detox more. I take A LOT of epsom salt baths and I use activated charcoal.

I never heard to do it with black pepper extract but thanks I'll look into it.
