Anyone else goes outside and feels like they are on a different planet? Literally no exaggeration! I don't know if it's because I'm really sick or I'm having some inflammation in my head who knows but I can't go outside without seeing things 100% differently than I would my healthy self. I feel so funny and weird. It's hard to understand everything that's going on around me. At the beginning of my sickness I had this here and there but I'm starting to feel like this everyday and it's only getting worse. Anyone else feel this way? Does it go away?

Hi Traci,
I haven't personally had that symptom, but I want to understand exactly what you are experiencing so we can see if others can help.

Does it only happen outside?

Is it your perception of your surroundings that are different or changed?

Do things just look or feel different than they are normally?

I do remember a post like this many months ago. Not sure if it was you or another member, but I will search for it in a bit.

When you didn't have this symptom, could it have been from a medicine or herbal you were on and it was helping with this? If you keep a journal you may be able to check on that.

Is it Ok to ask what your treatment currently is?

Hang in there and I hopefully others will be along soon to chime in also.

I had something happen to me when my symptoms first started that may be similar to what you're experiencing. When I would go outside or walk around in a large open place like a super Walmart, I would get this strange feeling in my head. It wasn't dizziness or lightheadedness. The way I described it to the doctors was my head just felt "off." I didn't notice it at home or walking around a small area. During the first two weeks of my worst symptoms, I also had that feeling when driving and didn't drive for 2 weeks. I also couldn't watch TV because my head felt so weird and my vision was affected too. That particular head symptom went away, and I don't recall having it again for any noticeable time period.

It doesn't only happen outside but it's worse outside for some reason. And it's almost like a high. My perception of surroundings look off/different. Like I feel disconnected from reality. I don't see things but what I see just seems different too me. I can look at a tree and know it's a tree but it seems strange. Like I said it's almost like a high or trip. It is so frustrating I can't put it in words. But all I know it's scary and getting worse. I can barely go outside.

Yes.. worse when you go out into the wide open world. Or a big brightly lite store seem bad also.

Official term is called Dis-realization.

Sorta like your watching the world through a window and it's not real

Spooky but this was one of my first Symptoms I got. That and woozy and I just figured I was having a Stroke a I was going to not make it back to my house from my yard.

This means the Lyme bugs broke through your Blood Brain barrier. Good news is these brain symptoms are considered to be reversible.. But persistent and hard to shake. so it will take a while.

The Burbur & Pinella Tinctures really helped. 10 drops per day mixed together, let sit 3 min in water before drinking, Somehow the mixing helps the herbs get past your blood brain barrier.

This really help me.

Last in the Buhner Healing Lyme book he gives all kinds of advice for what is called Neuroborreliosis. (google it)

Also his book has recommendation on treating this Symptom for Neuroborreliosis and general Brain Fog.

Also good point on the ammonia post earlier. Especially since it's getting worse, could be a herx-detox issue,

Notable mention is I also started on Activated Charcoal at about the same time. Timing seems to be a issue with this. I always wake up about 3am and I take them. (With a good glass of water)

Thank you for ya'lls replys. I see a Lyme literate medical doctor this month as well. I'm hoping he can get me stable on a treatment. And I really hope that this symptom goes away early eases up on me very very very scary. Can't drive or go out much.

Hi please keep us updated when you see your llmd, hope your having a better day today.

The neuro symptoms that I had in the beginning are gone now so remember there is hope and treatment will help.
