Has anyone had embarassing symptoms 'downstairs'?

Hi all,

Wont go into my entire history but I started abx around July and stopped indefinitely a couple of weeks ago.

Just before I started abx i noticed blood in my semen. Experienced some other aches around the testicles and other areas and had an ultrasound and no results and symptoms eventually cleared. Recently I experienced it again unfortunately and while the blood only happened a few times, the aches stick around.

Unfortunately that is not all, since around August this year I have had an itchy rectum after passing stool and experience some kind of smelly discharge. I have saw a doctor who has had a look and it has not passed so now I have a colonoscopy scheduled. I'm very nervous about this.

Has anyone experienced anything like this with lyme or other chronic issues?

Itchy rectum = candida overgrowth. Are you taking antibiotics? If so you should be on nystatin or diflucan at the same time. Consider asking your doctor for a prescription of diflucan 30 days in length.

I'm thinking definitely get your prostate checked and see about getting tested for yeast infection (itching). Hope your doctor can quickly get to the bottom of it.

MrDude- "Itchy but syndrome" is usually candida.

As a guy with lyme for a long time, my "man plumbing" and the mechanics of it were fine.

As others said, your signs may not be lyme, but prostate. One obvious sign- they say the "pee stream" is slow with that.

No blood but an ache in the testicle for sure. Triggered by amino acids. Please see my post on the thread about taking Arganine for the whole story. Are you taking any amino acids?

The doctor will likely set you up with a PSA test. A whole 20% accuracy to detect a possible cancer that you could live with for a decade before it actually spreads. Doctors and western medicine, gotta love em!

Rectal itching may also be a sign of parasites. My limited understanding is that finding evidence of parasites in stool tests can be difficult, for a few reasons. But, you could try an herbal anti-parasite protocol or perhaps ask your Doctor for a course of something like Ivermectin.

Isn't the 'digital' exam the gold standard of testing for prostate cancer? Maybe get both done.

Before going over the cliff with all the things that could possibly be underlying your issues, try the safest and easiest stuff first.

I realize that is probably an obvious "Duh" moment, but it's easy to let one's mind start racing with all the scary possibilities. Personally, I've had about 25 serious, life-threatening diseases -- all in my mind.

As for the PSA test, Google "richard ablin psa test" and read some of the articles. Dr. Ablin is the person who first discovered Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA), so it might be worth considering his comments. Whether or not you get a PSA test, though, that's for you to decide.

Go slow, obtain whatever testing you and your Doctor decide, review the evidence, do your own research, and let the facts guide you. Some of that's easier said than done, I know, but do your best. That's all any of us can do.

Mine went away after parasite clease ..was protozoan ...when lyme goes after your junk its time to get serious ...
