Question for those that used this topically - how did you apply and any tips? I want to make sure I am doing it right. Also, did you notice pain relief right away or am I imagining this? I am using on my lower back.

It worked pretty fast for me!! I did mix mine with arnica gel though. I think it was Girlie that said that her husband used DMSO alone to treat some painful areas though.

I use a very small amount - it doesn't take much of either the DMSO or the arnica - and rub them together in my hands quickly and lightly, then apply it to the areas I need it. Relief usually starts in just a minute or two for me. Not a lot usually, but enough to make a difference. Maybe if I used it sooner though, it would help more! LOL!

Yes, as Traveler stated, my husband used it full potency on several trouble areas.

One was his back - but it was more in the right thoracic area of his back. (injury from a car accident - pain was persistent - and I think it was a year after the accident (or longer) when he used the DMSO.

Make sure whatever you use to apply it is clean...it will carry dirt..etc. through the skin into the blood stream.
and also the area you are applying it to must be clean.

My husband used it full strength....and he applied it several days in a row. The skin was red...felt like a burn..and then itchy.

He got very quick relief - either by the next day or a couple days.

He swears by it.

I tried it on my left hand pre-diagnosis...just once...and I didn't notice anything...but my pain could be referred nerve pain...then I never applied it a second time.
I'm a chicken though. I came close to doing the LDI and never followed through with it. rolleyes

I applied it directly with the Rollin applicator from dmsostore.com.
To my face and neck...on the face, more of the sunburn feeling for about 3-4 minutes, none on my neck.

1000Daisies - We have purchased a few different brands. One of them i bought online - I think it's called Tree of Life - it has a picture of a tree on it.

BUT, someone posted that it should be only glass containers, so that the plastic doesn't leach into it.

I found one in glass and it's 99.995% pure:

Thanks everyone. I had bought this way back when Lapis posted. I had bought nitrile gloves too but couldn’t find in previous posts if he talked about application. I used just a tad bit straight and my back did feel better. I’m going to try on my hip tomorrow.

My husband uses a small artist's paint brush to apply his.
