Success with Mepron and Zith for Babesia?

Hello! I've been trying to self treat for Babesia with herbs for the past 6 weeks and had decided to go the conventional medicine route so my doctor prescribed Mepron and Zithromax. Now that they are sitting at the pharmacy waiting to be picked up I am chickening out. The side effects really scare me, taking antibiotics in general scares me, and I have read a couple things that lead me to believe they may not work. I'm considering going to a chiropractor that does muscle testing and distributes Byron White instead. Would anyone share their experience with Mepron/Zithro for Babesia? Also, can you take Mepron alone? My LLMD was originally going to only prescribe Mepron but I asked for the Zithro because of reading about resistance without it. Thank you!

I have taken Mepron - and for several weeks with Azithromycin (plus another antibiotic)

No, it should not be taken alone. Treating lyme and co's should always be done in combinations.

It helped some. I had a few really bad months with head pressure when I was taking the Mepron. The pressure was behind my eyes...and it affected my eyes. Hard to describe.


I ended up with the pulsatile tinnitus fully healed...and my sweats stopped.


but, I'm sweating a little bit again...not much though...so it probably wasn't long enough run on it.
(I was on the Mepron for 7-8 months - don't have my notes in front of me)

But, I wasn't on the azithromycin for the entire time..i switched that up.
