Lately I've realized how many other people I know locally with Lyme or other difficult chronic issues. I know this group has been a lot of help to me (thank you!!!), and I know it's easy to lose sight of the big picture and get discouraged.
So just today I thought, why not band together ?? Hold each other up, offer practical advice, encouragement, etc.
I have heard of a Lyme group in my area, guess I could check on that first. But with several people in my immediate circle, who already know each other, seems natural to do it that way, and expand out as makes sense. We already all talk about
our respective struggles at times, I think we could benefit from setting aside a specific time / place.
Now, I have ideas, but to have meaningful times, could use some more experienced ideas. I'm also not the most natural leader (understatement)..... also organizing an (ongoing) event when I'm not doing well seems a little iffy.........but, I'm willing to give it a go!
So do any of you have favorite info, resources, sites, suggestions etc. for organizing a support group? Would love to hear ideas, experiences, encouragements!
Thanks,
CJ

This might be a helpful resource for you:
/rawlsmd.com/lyme-support
You could contact other group leaders for ideas. And, if you start your own group, you could have Dr. Rawls add your group to this registry.

Check Facebook. In my area I have 3 facebook support groups and 2 local meeting support groups.
It is amazing how many support groups there are in my area. I was so surprised when I went to look for them.
