DENTAL QUESTIONS - LONG POST (will try to keep it orderly)BIOLOGICAL DENTIST VISIT:Okay, I finally went to see a biological dentist last Thursday. He is SMART certified in the Safe Amalgam Mercury Removal Technique. He does not have a CAVITAT machine and was not familiar with that. He did mention the Cone Beam machine and said there's a lady who travels through this area with one. When I asked his financial lady if she had any idea of the cost of the Cone Beam scan and I thought she said $4,500 (forty five hundred). That sounds outrageous. Maybe I misunderstood and she said $400-500 (four to five hundred). I also asked if he measured galvanism. He said he didn't see reason to if we're going to remove them. (I only have fillings. I have no other metal or implants in my mouth.)
The dentist proposed to remove the amalgams in 2 visits - left side, right side. I told him I was concerned about
having that many out at one time and he said I could do it in 4 visits in quadrants if I wanted, but it would cost more as he charges $350 for the room setup each time.
I had full digital xrays plus photos taken of my teeth. I asked if he saw any cavitations and he said he did not. I mentioned that I thought they couldn't be seen on xrays, but he said you can usually see parts of them, just not all of it. He did not see anything that led him to suspect hidden cavitations. He said he worked with a biological dentist in NY who did cavitation surgery and saw what cavitations were like, etc. So, he knows what they are.
This dentist uses Biocomp Lab for the compatibility testing. He gave me the paperwork, but I'll have to get my doctor's office to draw the blood.
I was given a packet that had info in it including their detox protocol. He said I was not required to do it. I haven't even looked at it yet, so I'll probably have more questions once I get that far.
QUESTIONS:1. Does this sound like an acceptable dentist?
2. How concerned should I be with cavitations at this point?
3. If I DO have hidden cavitation infections, can they be addressed AFTER amalgam removal, or must they be done prior?
4. What do you think about
having a mouth full of amalgams removed in only 2 visits? in 4 visits?
5. Should amalgams be removed in a particular order? (I read somewhere that they should be removed in the order of which one has the strongest electrical current.)
CONCERNS:That removing too many at once (or maybe at all) will make me horribly worse, as I have great difficulty detoxing.
(I found this online before I saw the dentist. It worries me, as I'm a terrible detoxer with constipation issues and I'm sure my detox pathways are blocked. I don't think there's any scientific validation of this. It sounds like energy medicine. I'm not sure if this is really true or valid.)wholebodymed.com/newsletter/caution-mercury-removal-mesenchymewholebodymed.com/dentistry/amalgam-removalI know NO ONE (dentists included) can predict how amalgam removal will affect each patient. Some feel better. Some feel worse (at least temporarily). Some feel no different.
I have no question that the amalgams need to be removed. All but one of them are very old, and I am becoming increasingly suspicious that recirculating metals are causing some of my symptoms. Based on this article I found, mercury from my amalgams may even BE THE CAUSE of my detox difficulties as it sounds like it affects sulfation/methylation processes in the body:
amalgam.org/education/scientific-evidenceresearch/results-removal-amalgam-fillings/I'm just trying to get as much feedback as I can. I want to proceed cautiously, but I also don't want to ignore this or put it off. I feel like it needs to be done.
