I'd like to do something different here on the forum, if anybody feels like participating! As we all know, being sick can really make you feel bad both physically and emotionally. But let's not forget that we're all still trucking along fighting the good fight. Let's focus some of our energy on the positives! I'll go first,
I'm thankful to having found a support group that's so helpful and knowledgeable on such a misunderstood health issue. I'm thankful that we have people to chime in when another isn't able to fully articulate what they're trying to say. I'm thankful that when we ALL heal (and yes, we ALL will heal) that we all will look at our bodies and overall well being in a whole new light. There is something good in every bad. There is something that we will eventually take away from our time being sick that will make a huge difference in ours or someone elses' lives. And yes, even though I feel like crap now, I know that this too shall pass and I'll be a stronger and more grounded person when I come through on the other side.

i am grateful that the members here gave me the confidence and insights to try something I might have overlooked and how they also prevented me from making bad choices. There is a very candid and special group of people here.

I am also very thankful for this forum. I'm not sure I would even be diagnosed yet...if it wasn't for the members on here telling me that my symptoms could be Lyme...and to test with Igenex.
I am also thankful that I have a supportive Dr. who has never questioned my diagnosis and long-term abx treatment.
And, my husband, other family members and some close friends who have stood by me through this ordeal.

Ha Serfr! Love that one!! But I am afraid they drop out of trees though.
I am thankful for my husband who has stood by me all these years when no one knew why I was always miserably sick and in pain. He believed me and never wavered, not once, for 9 years. And to this day does all he can to help me and make me as comfortable as possible while I heal.
What I learned through all this is that everyone has a story. Everyone is dealing with something. So I am thankful that I am now more empathetic toward others...not that I was uncaring, but I now see others for their trials and I have more compassion toward others than I ever had before. A huge life lesson I would say.
I am also thankful for my dog. She has been by my side through this for her whole life. Everyday. Kind. Loving. Caring. Compassionate. Sits with me (most of the time on me and she is 50 lbs hahah) when I am in bad shape and just loves on me more than I can believe a dog should be capable of.
And I am thankful for this group who always talks me off my ledge and I learn so much about
this disease from you all. The best part? Is that when I just can't believe I have a strange symptom or something weird that no one in their right mind would believe if I told them...well you all have had similar things and that makes me feel not alone in this and not crazy either.

I am also very thankful for the people on this forum. I only wish I had found it sooner. It's an old cliche that "everything happens for a reason" but I've been living by it for years. I appreciate every bit of my health more than I ever thought I could now that I have lived this type of lifestyle.
I also believe this disease brought me my boyfriend. This might sound bad but he was a friend for a long time and I just never saw the relationship going in the romancmtic direction. When I got sick he stuck by my side the entire time. We grew very close. I saw what a strong caring person he was. I have a good guy in my life now. He means the world to me. Thank you lyme disease lol.

I don't post much, but I'm always on here. I'm thankful for the wealth of information here. It feels like no matter what weird symptoms pop up, and I can quickly read on here and someone else will have experienced it.
I'm also thankful for the fact that no matter how silly a question or lack of effort I put into searching, everyone is very helpful in answering my questions. :D
