Hi everyone, does anyone else have pain in there chest wall. This was my first symptom I had 3 years ago. I thought it was my heart, it caused so much anxiety. But after a thorough check my heart seemed to be fine. I believe it must be more in the muscle. Can anyone relate? I've been having a rough stretch again and I can't help question everything! I so hope I'm on the right path since I've been treating for a year and a half and when thing should flare up it's just as bad as it was before treatment. Any advice or comments would be appreciated! Thanks!

I have had pain on the left side of my chest...and I didn't know whether or not it was my heart or regular muscle pain. Mine was intermittent...pulsing type pain.

I think its worth mentioning to your LL Dr..


Since you had it before, and your heart was fine...it's most likely the same.

BUT, again, mention it to your Dr. - may be worth another check.

Have you changed your protocol lately?

I have rib pain and did have chest pain when I went hyperthyroid. Hope it subsides quickly for you. Do you take epsom salt baths? They always seem to help ease aches & pains.

I get it randomly too from time to time. I had scans in hospital about 2 years ago and everything was fine.

It's also intermittent for me. It's so strange how symptoms can go away and not come back for such a long time and then pop up out of no where! I'm feeling so frustrated! I know a few people that were 99% better after a year of treatment. I'm on 1.5 years and I really don't see any difference. It seemed like right from the beginning I would have days or even weeks where I felt fine and then days and weeks where I was sure I was dying! I'm so done with not knowing when those days or weeks are going to pop up! I've treated Lyme and Babesia, should I be treating Bart even though the tests didn't show? I'm also 46 so I never know what is normal age related hormone issues or what is Lyme! I'm assuming the times when I feel beyond unwell that is Lyme and co. I'm feeling so depressed! I don't want this disease to steal any more years, but the more I read from others the more I wonder if and when I'll ever be free of it!! It doesn't help reading books like the Medical Medium that makes me wonder if I'm even doing the right thing being on antibiotics for so long. I feel like shouting at the very top of my lungs 'I'm done'!!! Thanks for letting me vent!

Hi, I also have had sporadic chest pain over the last 4.5 years. I have had multiple EKG's as well as a sonogram and my heart is fine. My chest pain is typically on the left side of my chest right over my heart, but sometimes it's literally moves along the same plane to the right side. The pain feels more like it's in the bone. It seems to come and go with no rhyme or reason. I do know that it is unnerving to say the least and it woke me up last week. As strange as this sounds, I like to press on the arwas that hurt while they are hurting. In a strange way, I derive pleasure knowing that I may be squashing some bacteria smile

Does anyone know if chest pain is Lyme or is it Bart or babesia? Wouldn't it be nice if everything was really straight forward and just one protocol that always works? It feels like it's all trial and error! The lucky few get on the right protocol right away!

There's a condition called costochondritis - maybe look it up and see if what you feel matches.

I'm pretty sure I have it - but I have all over tendinitis, so that's just another part of the same thing.

I'm not sure what in particular causes it. Still trying to figure it all out myself.

There's no "cure" for costo, but knowing it's that, rather than your heart, eases a lot of anxiety.

Thanks Eiren. I'm thinking the chest pain might be babesia related, from what I've read, but not sure. I've been having cold sweats too so my llmd wants me to restart malarone. I'm just hoping I'm on the right path taking all these meds!

Lyme loves cartilage and if left alone it can damage it. I got costochondritis, slip rib syndrome, tennis elbow and very achy knees.

When I got lyme it went for my cartilage. My sternum would hurt so badly.

On top of the cartilage being attacked, my lymph nodes were so swollen and it was a huge guessing game some days as to which was hurting.

My only recourse was treatment. Ice helps with the cartilage temporarily while the area is somewhat frozen. Ibuprofen helps but it has to be repeated and that can be hard on a liver.

I did everything I could to strengthen and/or rebuild cartilage.

Sorry you are having this pain. Anything close to my heart would scare me too.

I had what i thought was heart pain, it was one of my first symptoms. My heart was checked out with everything fine.

As well as lyme I also had really low vitamin b12, as soon as the b12 was under control the heart pain stopped.
