For exercising or just protein when you dont want meat. I've tried many.

Targets Market Pantry brand. This is a great buy $19 for 19 servings of 20gms each. The taste is OK too. The other cheap brands like Vega taste and feel very "chalky".

Comparable pea and rice protein at a vitamin store is $30-35.

Many people who start powdered protein wonder why it makes "extreme farts" - its the super dense gluten and milk proteins- nasty stuff for many people who didnt ever think gluten and milk could ever offend them.

"extreme farts" ha ha ha!! Boy! Do I know what those are!!! Digestive issues all my life.

I've been using Orgain protein shakes. I buy mine from Amazon, and usually pay around $22 for a 2 lb tub - hubby is even using it! It's all organic, no dairy, soy, gluten, lactose, or soy. Might be something else to check into as well.
