I’ve never loved the taste but managed to gulp them down with a bit of water and it’s done. The last week I’m struggling, the taste is making me gag! Is this herx? Do I need to slow down with them?
I also have a sore throat the last 2 days so could in be due to that?

Can you try taking them with pomegranate juice. That may help as long as you arnt fighting yeast.(Natural Sugars in it).
Could be from the complications of the sore throat.
Hope you feel better soon. Jo

Cranberry would be another good juice to use.

Ok please hear me out on this one. I struggled with this for a while.
I know this is going to sound crazy but it works.
Take it with a very strong condiment sauce > Ketchup, BBQ Sauce, Mustard, Salad Dressing
Get one of the sugar free ones. Like sugar free ketchup.
The reason it works is because you can only mask strong tastes with strong tastes.
Blend it together, add some water then take it. And then take another spoon of sauce to get the taste out of your mouth.
Apple sauce etc. is simply not strong enough. Good luck.
