My husband and teenage daughter were bitten by ticks on the same vacation that I was bitten. I’m the only one who has been really sick but they both are having some mild symptoms that may or may not be Lyme.
We ordered Igenex test kits for them but I’m not sure which ones to get? They’re really pushing their ImmunoBlots but they are twice as expensive as the regular Western Blots. Has anyone had these? Are they worth the extra money? I hesitate since my husband and daughter arent real symptomatic. It’s hard to justify spending $1000 instead of $500 (for both of them) but if the ImmunoBlot are truly a lot more accurate....Of course if they do have it, and we can catch it before they’re as sick as me, it would be worth it though.
Also, my husband had Lyme once decades ago, before I knew him, complete with the bullseye rash. He was treated immediately for a few weeks only but never had any issues. I wonder if his IgG will show it.
