Can Adults get PANS?

Was wondering if this could occurred in adults and can Adults have a good recovery? My symptoms are mostly inflammation psycholocal problems. Sudden onset of OCD , rage , parinoa, anxiety, deep depression. I do see a llmd on the 18 the but my flares seem so autoimmune like in nature . I hope I can kick these psycholocal symptoms. They scare the hell out of me at times.

I always wonder this too. I have a history of bad strep infections and always wonder... Not sure why all the literature says only kids can get it. Makes no sense to me.

I think its still considered a hypothesis and not recognized in mainstream medicine...

not sure though

Not sure what the difference is between PANS and PANDAS.

The threads that have popped up here time to time do not really get much action.

PANDAS- Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections.

PANS - Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome.

So the first involves Strep, where PANS doesn’t.
