May is Lyme awareness month. Anything notable in your state / area for non-lymies to take notice?

Hope something is going on beyond the lyme community, in the local news ect, word needs to get out.

Hanging out together in green shirts complaining to each other doesn't have much effect lol.

Rumor has it, a nationally known, new, huge sports complex/arena might have green lighting. 1/3 of America watched the the SB on TV in this stadium Feb, 4th, 2018. The green lighting's not for certain till it happens. It was purple for "Prince day".

My local small town paper has a new lyme friendly, younger editor who wrote a lyme story (forbidden by last editor, I tried). Out with the old, in with the new.

Tried changing that? Then again, you not exactly in lyme country.

No - maybe one day - can’t take it on yet -


People here sometimes talk about ticks and their dogs - but not about themselves.
I do point out to them that ticks like people too and they need to protect themselves, do tick checks,
but it usually falls on deaf ears.

I haven't heard about anything in NC yet...of course alot of docs here do not think you can get Lyme in NC.
