I'm 21 years old & my doctor informed me that I have high uric acid. I also have Lyme & co infections & I can't find anything on the web talking about the two.

Just wanting to see if anybody knows anything about this. Defiantly shouldn't be having four at the age of 21.

I haven't seen anyone post about gout.


But, nothing surprises me about these infections. they seem to affect every system in our bodies.

I agree with Girlie.

I googled gout and Dr. Google says it's a form of arthritis. Lyme and bart both cause arthritis type symptoms. The pneumonias can, too.

I've heard cherries are good for gout. Can you eat cherries?

I'll try to look this up in Buhner's books later to see if he says anything about it.

I took an old gout medication when I was on amoxicillin. Probenecid is the name and it is relatively safe to use...not sure if you can get it - unless you go to a compounding pharmacy.

It is used to keep the level of the antibiotic in your blood longer.

I felt like I had gout at one time also. I think my kidneys weren't working properly. I'm not sure if maybe there's some kind of herb or detox that could help with it.

Strange thing is I don't really even have any joint pain. Which I know is really odd since i have Lyme. Every now & then my knee will hurt a bit but I also had surgery on it 4 or 5 years ago so I don't know if that's the reason.

Although I get some pain in my toe every now & then & I believe that's a symptom of goit.
