yes. ibuprofen and/or acetaminofen. of course it's not a good idea to take them for months. just during worst of headaches.

red root in large doses also helps a bit. but not as much as the ones above.

i have the headaches for a few days, then they go , and return several months later.

It's the menthol in the Listerine that's clearing your headache. This actually makes sense. That being the case, do you notice your sinuses feel clear after rinsing with it? Years and years ago, I used to take those Listerine pocket-pack strips for headaches. At the time, I didn't make the sinus connection. Took me a while to get there, but they always offered relief. And I went through them like candy.

If your sinuses feel clear after rinsing, your headaches are sinus related which means you might have marcons in your sinuses - a tricky infection that a lot of Lyme patients have. I got relief from ozone up the sinuses, but not for long.

The Listerine will be a temp solution, but you should start thinking about detoxing your life - no harsh chemicals. There is a natural/essential oil roll-on called "Headache Magic" that I now use. Find online. It helps so much. Also, passionflower tea is like a miracle for headaches. I recently got my stepson's girlfriend to try it and she loves it.

All in all, everything relates to your gut. Wheat and sugar are your enemies. If you haven't already cut those out, start doing that too. I've had migraines my whole life. I'm an expert on this stuff. LOL.

It’s not something you want to take regularly tho.

i would not take codeine unless im on death bed. it creates addiction big time. u will not he able to stop it. u cannot drive vehicles if u take it.

try something less dangerous, ibuprofen, first.... red root etc.

Lol mpost!! - they have a low dose of codeine and are sold without a prescription.
You can drive a car after taking one.
It doesn’t create an addiction if you use them occasionally - for me it would be once every month or two. No addiction.

T3’s - now those are different. Higher amount of Codeine. I would be loopy on them. I had a script for t3’s after surgery and I took them daily for a week and then stopped them. No addiction with them since it was short term.

i know, but codeine is an opiate.... ppl need to know they can get in trouble by taking it.

last thing i need after chronic neuro lyme is opiate addiction

Excedrine Migraine and caffeinated coffee worked wonders for me.

Gargling stimulates the vagus nerve, next time try with a glass of water and see if you get the same effect.

Bending your head / neck back (Gargling) is something we dont do day to day either.

I bend my neck all over and then self-crack it to "fix" my headache.
