Hello,
I have had a lot of mis-haps in my journey to heal! But, I am trying to focus on gratitude. My, how it has helped with the bartonella rage! Meditation, meditation, meditation. That's all I can say.
But, I'm going to be starting a 1 month protocol of Doxycycline. And I'm nervous.
-My husband is able to help me mildly, but mostly I am home alone to care for myself.
-My diet has become soooo restricted and my LLMD wants me to eat more substantial meals before taking the doxy. I'm thinking of trying to add chicken back into my diet. She really focused on animal protein being in the meals before doxy.
-How do I avoid a Doxy burn if I have to/want to go outside? Or do I just avoid the outdoors completely for an entire month?
-How do I avoid damaging my gut? I'm thinking of taking a probiotic 1 hour before and after the doxy to help with my gut. Does anyone have recommendations for brands/dosages?
-What kind of herxing should I expect?
I'm new to the idea that what I'm struggling with is Lyme. It sure makes a whole lot of sense though! I also have a real intense mold toxicity and a herpes simplex viral infection of my eye that doesn't want to go away.
I'm trying to make a game plan to start the doxy. It is really going to interfere with my life, I am aware. And I just want to do it well. The active illness is really bugging me more and I'm hoping I'll start feeling better after a few days on the 1 month doxy protocol.
Anyways, thanks for any thoughts and stories of your experiences!
Keep your heads up, guys. We can get through anything we put our minds to. So long as our minds don't take us down a deep pit of despair, which I feel I have to daily reroute myself from or just sit through until I feel a lil better. The neurological symptoms have been the worst! I can handle the physcial pain, but when I can't cognitively function well...well, it's just really hard.
Ok, that's all. I look forward to hearing back soon!
