Iha is the only potent anti bacterial in my protocol.. Is that ok?

Is this okay? Due to a few sensitivities, I can't take sida or cordycepa. I know sida is the other potent bartonella killer in buhners protocol,but would it be okay to just have iha? Isatis, houttunyia, alchornea. I also believe I got all the other basics to the protocol as far as red blood cell protection and others.

Yes, it's fine to eliminate a couple of the herbals if you can't take it.


For the bart protocol - are you not taking the JK? That is included in Buhners protocol for bart.

You might need to substitute something for the cordyceps. Hopefully another member will be able to help with that.

Japanese knotweed is pretty important. Are you not taking that?

I'm not taking jk. I forgot what I substitutes it with i think stephania root is what I replaced it with. I replaced the sida acuta with bidens pilosa. All the herbs recommend in replace of cprdyceps are said to be stimulating. So only having iha as the antibacterial part of the protocol is ok?

Bidens is also antimicrobial.

I know that most herbs in the protocol are antimicrobial, but doesn't buhners book state that iha and sida are the " antimicrobial" of his protocol? It does so I took away from the information that other herbs are only mild and not big killers like sida iha

Yes, Stephania root is the JK replacement.

Are you sure you are sensitive to these botanicals? Did you get tested for allergies to the dry herbal powders to be sure you don't have an allergy?

Many times, botanicals like Sida acuta are so powerful that they can cause big Herxes at low levels. They may feel like a sensitivity or an allergy, but usually aren't. Sida acuta is known to cause big Herxes in certain people. If you are sure that you don't have an allergy, you may want to try taking it in tincture form at 1 drop per day, and slowly increasing it to 1 drop 3 times per day over the course of 3 days. Then, keep increasing as your Herx or sensitivities symptoms subside.
