Thanks for the replies!
Buhner's Lyme Coinfection book for Anaplasma, Babesia, and Ehrlichia says to use the protocol for 30 to 60 days and repeat if necessary. Since we don't know for sure that they have it, that is why I thought 30 days would be good, and then we'll see... I know on his website, which was updated in 2017, he only lists taking CSA and not the whole list of 10 things, too, so maybe recommendations have changed since his book came out in 2015?
I also believe he said that if one has Babesia, it is not likely they will have Bartonella and visa versa.
Has anyone found that to be true?
I've been seeing K.L. there for a year and a half now. I have had some improvements, but am far from 100%. I still have lots of dizziness, headaches, fatigue, brain fog, etc.
From treatment there I have been able to get rid of heart palpitations (for the most part) and the terrible terrible fatigue that I had. Now the fatigue is still there but just not as severe. Brain fog has gotten slightly better I would say.
I was on antibiotics and Buhner herbs but now just antibiotics.
I can't say whether or not I think she is good... I chose to switch to one of their PA. Her full name starts with an E. I felt like she was really knowledgeable at my first appointment with her about
a month ago. I think Dr. K.L. is as well, I just wasn't seeing the improvement I've been wanting and needed a second opinion.
I actually think that doctor did the right thing by not starting any meds right away. There are so many bacterial infections that they may have (like chronic mycoplasma) that could be holding them back. There are tons of bacteria that can just linger and cause issues. I truly think this is probably my biggest issue right now after so much time spent treating lyme and co's.
At the same time, most lyme meds do hit bacteria as well so starting something like zithromax and Biaxin
