Hey all, I've been off my antibiotics for almost 2 months now since they really started giving me severe stomach issues. My doctor and I decided I should start up the Buhner protocol since I made good progress already on antibiotics, so I ordered the herbs and just started on Thursday. Unfortunately between my doctor's appointments, shipping times, and travelling time slipped by and it's already been almost 2 months since I stopped my ABX.
The past week or so I've noticed my remaining symptoms starting to grow worse. They had been fairly mild for a while, but after so long without treatment it seems like they're coming back. I suppose it's a good thing that it didn't happen right away, but I'm still not happy, it feels like I've undone some of the progress I've made. But I also know that I can't just start taking the full doses of everything on the Buhner protocol right off the bat. I'm almost to the full dose of Andrographis and am halfway with Cats Claw, but aren't on anything else yet (following the Lyme and Bart protocols). Anyone have any advice on what the fastest way to get up to full dose is? I don't want to let up the treatment any longer than I have to, since it seems like the longer I wait the further back I'm sliding.
It stinks that after making so much progress things can go backwards, but I wasn't all the way better yet so I suppose I should have expected it. My doctor told me it was a good sign that it didn't start sliding backwards right away, at least. Anyway, it's been a depressing day. Any suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks!
