Another LLMD Appointment Tomorrow - Suggestions?

I'm kind of at a crossroads here.. I would say I haven't really been improving much in the last 6 months.. I've tried different antibiotic combos with Rifampin and Zithromax, Rifampin and Minocycline and now Minocycline and Baixin.

I am just constantly dizzy, tired and fatigued. My brain fog is so bad some times that I can barely function at work. No matter how much detoxing I do, exercise I do, or good diet I eat, I still don't seem to improve.

I am thinking that maybe it is time to take a break from antibiotics and work on healing my gut. I read a lot of great things about this product (sold on amazon) called Restore and wondering if maybe that would help fix some things?

During this time I could still take natural meds like buhner, byron white or transfer factor to help continue to hit lyme and co's, but ultimately I feel that my gut needs healing because I have had loose stools now and off and on stomach aches for awhile. I hardly ever have a formed stool.

What does everyone think? Bad idea? Good idea? Treatment suggestions?

I spent years rotating different protocols before seeing any significant improvements. I also had loose or pencil thin stools for many years before returning to normal.

I had thought you were already mixing in Buhner herbs. Cat's Claw, JK, Sida, Crypto, and Hout are all worth trying even when taking ABX.

Your current protocol looks like your hitting mostly Bart and Lyme. Maybe its time to take a (or another) shot at Babs. I was on Lyme and Babs combos forever hitting a plateau and then switched to Bart and started good progress again.

I'ld stick with staying on both for a while longer... but I've been treating for about 8.5 years.

I didnt have good luck with nystatin pills or the liquid suspension. it may have helped a little, but not entirely.

i think i need diflucan for an extended period of time. of course i cannot try that until the rifabutin is done. so i am going to try some other supplements to see if i can impact it in any way.

what first tipped me off that yeast was a problem again, was i tried to do a rinse/gargle with diluted hydrogen peroxide for another problem, and low and behold i got temporary improvement with 3 or 4 symptoms, it cleaned away some of my thrush, and figured then the thrush/yeast is likely causing a lot of these problems.

I have been suffering from multiple throat issues. I had an aching pain in my left jaw lymph node area, its been mostly there all the time but sometimes gone. I thought this was bartonella or lyme in the lymph node, but now dont believe it is. i also had an inflamed lingual tonsil, this caused some intermittent throbbing sensation back there, and even radiated to some teeth on that side. i thought these were related to EBV, bartonella or maybe lyme. but now i think its all yeast/oral thrush.

i rinsed with peroxide thinking if it would shrink the swelling in the tonsils, sure enough it did. and got rid of my aching jaw lymph issue, reduced the teeth tingling, and even reduced my tinnitus. when it cleared off my tongue, thats when i put two and two together, thought maybe its been yeast all along. the problem with the peroxide is that its only temporary, yeast comes back rather quick...i think i need systemic approach like diflucan.

but it was something simple to try to get an indication of what the problem is.

i couldve written your post...in last yr of abx ive gotten worse, and its all head based too....im taking a break as ive discovered ive got mcas too, which mirrors alot of the symptoms (and would result in increased brain fog in many)...once i get a better handle on that, im going back to herbals...no offense to the people who have been on abx for YEARS (im only 2 1/2 yrs in treatment), i dont see the point in continuing abx if its not working after awhile bc it will affect your gut despite all the antifungals...but then again i could see myself going back to abx if herbals dont work and im getting worse...the disease is chronic and i need to find some quality in life, just not enduring herx after herx, resulting in more issues...plus Phillips will most likely have a much improved bart drug in 2-3 yrs which will work better then whats available...im of the school of thought that chronic is probably bart or autoimmune, and i have both, so yeah
