Hello everybody I’ve just been changed a week ago on a new antibiotic protocol has anybody experience a new Herxheimer reaction within the first week of the new protocoll? It has brought up some old symptoms and has me nervous I thought I was over those and now here we go again. Does anybody have any suggestions where is this happen to anyone.

Yes - different meds treating the same infection or treating a coinfection can cause a herx.

The old symptoms can reappear when changing meds - and sometimes they can wax and wane on the same meds.

It’s often difficult to “figure out” what’s going on unfortunately.

Over time the number of symptoms should lessen.

I have some that pop up now and then - after I thought I was rid of them - and others left and have never returned.

Yes like Girlie said, it could be a herx.

I also have had symptoms that were gone for a while reappear. Just continued treatment will hopefully knock the back again.
